Good day, everyone.

[ Kotomi's voice is.. practically the same as usual, aka very monotone and blank, no matter what she's speaking about. At least she's apparently social enough today to actually use the journal to make a post.. ]

I have two important questions to everyone. I couldn't find the answers in books, so I thought maybe someone else would be able to tell me instead.. I tried to look all over for books about it, but couldn't find anything. [ There's maybe the sliightest hint of disappointment in her tone at it. ]

The first would be any more information about "tsundere".. I heard it means someone acts tough and doesn't think they need anything more, but.. any more information would be nice, too.

[ This is clearly important. ]

And secondly, what kind of stories does everyone like..? [ totally not asking in relation to a certain someone, nope. ] I wonder if there's some sort of story that could be fun for everyone, no matter who reads it. Doesn't that sound like it'd be wonderful?

[ After that there's just.. a long pause.. apparently she forgot to turn off her journal after she was done in her obliviousness. ]

It would be.. After all, sometimes it's really difficult to think about what kind of story someone might like, and if you would read them a story they don't like they might feel upset..

[ a pause, as if she's thinking - although she generally spaces out a lot.. ] Hmm.. I like fantasy too. Like you said, escaping from reality is nice, and.. love stories are nice too, since they usually have a happy ending.

Yeah. Too bad love stories rarely ever work out in real life... but I guess fiction is fiction.

[ There's a long pause, and.. well, there was that thing with Tomoya, but even she doesn't really know if that was love or not, he was just very important to her.. and then there was the thing with Ikki, but that was because of the experiment, so she can't figure out if either counts.. ]

Hmm, then I don't think I've ever been in love.. But there's been someone important to me.

Well, it's hard to explain then. But, hm.... A lot of love stories are like "You find your One True Love, you both mutually love each other from the start, get married, have kids" right? Real relationships don't happen that way... usually. There are a lot more complications than that.

Really? [ yes, guess who believes in that idealized view still.. ]

Not always. Sometimes, you really like a person and don't even know if they like you back for a long while... and sometimes they don't, or not in the way you'd want them to. [He thought this might've been the case for a while bbbut--] I mean, sometimes it does turn out they're just too shy to say that they like you back but....

[ There's a long thinking pause, and at the end there's just a hum. ]

You almost sound like you have experience with that sort of thing..

Maybe a little. [Cough cough.] But that's not really important.

No, that's very important.. if you got sad because of something like that, then I feel sorry for you. Love is supposed to be something that makes people happy, like in the stories.

I'm happy. [He still hasn't really gotten anywhere with his relationship but--!!] The girl I like likes me, and, um... things are good.... I can't really complain.

... That's nice. When the person you like likes you back too.. that gives a really nice and warm feeling inside, I'm sure.

Uh huh. I hope you experience it yourself some day as well.

Maybe.. I wouldn't mind it, the person I like liking me back.. In fact, I would think it's very nice. But there's no way to be sure.

You won't know until you ask, right? So you should just go for it... even if it has to be kind of sneaky, like if they like anyone in particular.
