[ So if you just happen to be walking through Luceti today, you might spot a girl sitting on the ground next to a tree at the side of the road. Her journal is opened in her lap, and it seems she's rather focused on reading it. See, there's nothing weird about that, but.. she's still wearing the New Feather dress and doesn't seem bothered or confused by the whole 'arriving in another place' ordeal in the slightest as long as she can read. In fact, she probably doesn't even realise she's not back home anymore, or that she has wings on her back. She's also turning the pages at a ridiculous speed, as if she needs barely any time to read a page. It looks more like she's skimming than anything else, but nope, she's actually reading all of that. ... Maybe someone ought to help her out.

Or you might run into her later during the day instead. If you're just standing somewhere around the village, you might find the girl staring at you for a long time, almost as if she's observing you long enough to decide something. After what is probably multiple minutes the girl might approach you a little hesitantly (she's making sure you're not a bully, okay, it's in everyone's best interests), only to quickly bow at you in greeting. ]

Hello. Bonjour. Guten Tag. Konnichiwa. Nihao. Salve. Hallo. [ Yes, she'll just start listing off 'hello's in almost every kind of language known to humankind to you. And if you don't cut her off, she'll continue until she has at least done it in 54 different languages. So better do something about that, yup. ]

[At first, when she approaches him, Seto just listens to her go on, not knowing what to do since she didn't stop after hello. It's amazing that she knows so many languages, especially Japanese and English! ...But it's still pretty difficult for him to take of it in, especially when he can't write the words down somewhere to remember them.

[ Ah, she made contact! Her expression turns a little happy at that as she stops listing off hello in every language ever, and instead nods a little. ]

My name is Kotomi Ichinose. You spell 'Kotomi' with three wonderful hiragana. My hobby is reading, and when referring to me, please call me 'Kotomi-chan'.

[Hm... well Seto's never been one to use honorifics since his grandfather never made it mandatory...and because there was no one else around to actually use honorifics with, but if that's what she wants to be called then Seto can do it just this once! Or at least for her]

It's nice to meet you Kotomi-chan! My name is Seto. [Ah--should he say more? She did... ] You spell it with two hiragana. My hobby is... I guess stargazing if you consider that to be one! [He laughs sheepishly]

Seto-kun, is it.. Nice to meet you once again. [ at least for once she realised she already said 'nice to meet you' before.. ]

And I think stargazing is a very wonderful thing.. There are so many pretty stars out there in the galaxy, and there's a lot of them too.

Uh-huh! My grandfather used to study them and look at them through a telescope so he would always tell me about them. Do you stargaze at all, Kotomi-chan?

[Because if so, you can join him on the roof sometime!]

I could sometimes see the stars from behind the windows at night, so that's when I saw them and found them very, very pretty..

[ She actually smiles a little at the thought. ]

I've never studied them for a long time outside though.

Really? Well if you'd like, you can come to the roof of my building and we can sit outside to stargaze for a while! Maybe when it's warmer though, it would be bad if you caught a cold.

... Really? [ There's something slightly surprised about her expression. ] You wouldn't mind going stargazing together with me..?

I wouldn't mind at all! I'd really like it actually. [The more company the better!]

In that case.. [ she smiles, nodding. ] I'd really like it as well..

... Are the stars here anything like the stars back home..? Maybe we can see where this is from the position of the stars.

[Hmm, he thinks about this for a moment]

I think they're similar to the ones back home! Can you really tell where we are just by looking at them??

Of course. You can read your position on Earth just from looking at the positions of the stars.. I've read a lot about it before, so I might be able to tell if we can look up to the stars here.

[ not that she has any experience in practice. ]

Wow... I had no idea we could do that!! Whenever you have time we can try to find out where we are.

I have a lot of time.. We could do it whenever I'm not reading, if you want to.

[ well, she does read a lot, but that's actually already free time too, so. ]

I like to read anything at all.. I don't think there's any sort of book I read and didn't like. It's nice to read a little bit of everything, actually..

Of course. A lot of different things too.. About their way of life, about their history, not to mention all kinds of fictional stories about pirates and their adventures..
