[ So if you just happen to be walking through Luceti today, you might spot a girl sitting on the ground next to a tree at the side of the road. Her journal is opened in her lap, and it seems she's rather focused on reading it. See, there's nothing weird about that, but.. she's still wearing the New Feather dress and doesn't seem bothered or confused by the whole 'arriving in another place' ordeal in the slightest as long as she can read. In fact, she probably doesn't even realise she's not back home anymore, or that she has wings on her back. She's also turning the pages at a ridiculous speed, as if she needs barely any time to read a page. It looks more like she's skimming than anything else, but nope, she's actually reading all of that. ... Maybe someone ought to help her out.

Or you might run into her later during the day instead. If you're just standing somewhere around the village, you might find the girl staring at you for a long time, almost as if she's observing you long enough to decide something. After what is probably multiple minutes the girl might approach you a little hesitantly (she's making sure you're not a bully, okay, it's in everyone's best interests), only to quickly bow at you in greeting. ]

Hello. Bonjour. Guten Tag. Konnichiwa. Nihao. Salve. Hallo. [ Yes, she'll just start listing off 'hello's in almost every kind of language known to humankind to you. And if you don't cut her off, she'll continue until she has at least done it in 54 different languages. So better do something about that, yup. ]

[ She looks a little amazed as the face appears, but then she seems to understand after a little while. The latter question makes her look around her for a moment though, as if she might find the answer to it in her surroundings. ]

Maybe a little bit. [ She looks down, and finally now seems to realise-- ] ... Ah. These aren't my clothes.

... We can get you better ones at the store, Ms. Ichinose.

[Brilliance does not necessarily equal wisdom, Daisy learned time ago by watching herself act in this place.]

When you first arrive, you're usually put in New Feather garbs. A sundress. Even in winter. [She nods at the store.] We can get your clothes back, ma'am.

I.. like this one too, though. [ She's always liked dresses, after all, and this isn't an exception. She probably doesn't even realise it's too cold for the season. ]

It's a little simple, but pretty..

It's more fit for summer, ma'am. [She says softly. Daisy used to like dresses, as well, but she's not very lucky when she wears them.

She puts a hand over her shoulder -- And retreats it immediately when she remembers titanium tends to get cold rather quickly in winter.]

Sorry! [She holds her own hand.] ... You can keep it, but you should get something warm as well. You could get hypothermia.

... Summer? But I thought it was spring right now, so even if it's a little early it should be alright, r-- [ Then she stops in the middle of her sentence as she feels the cold touch, shuddering all over for a brief instant until the hand retreats. ]

C-- Cold..

[She keeps holding her hand. Daisy had never been bothered about the MJOLNIR being socially hindering until now.]

Time's relative between worlds. [This is assuming she has been given the general "you're not in Kansas anymore" speech. If not... well, it's her turn to give that talk.] You might've been in spring back home, but here? ... I can get you a coat.

Chief Petty Officer Daisy SPARTAN-023. ... [Well, only a handful here refer to her by rank.] Go with Daisy.

[ Kotomi hasn't been given the full talk yet, but.. well, she's oblivious to half of all the things, and she's actually pretty smart about the other half - like the possibility of the existence of parallel worlds. So she doesn't think much of it.

And good thing she said to use Daisy, otherwise Kotomi would just use the full title all the time. ]

Daisy.. Nice to meet you. I would like to have a coat..

Come on, Kotomi. [... She recalls the petition.] --chan.

[Now she's giving others the affectionate honorific. This place is changing her.

The Spartan puts the helmet back on, then glances back at the girl before directing her to the clothing store..]

Can I ask, ma'am... Why the "chan"?

[ Kotomi just walks along with her - she's rather good at just following what others tell her, after all, so she'll just obediently patter along even as she talks. ]

"Chan" is a term of endearment, right? I would like my friends to think of me that way. [ Apparently meeting a person and becoming friends is practically the same thing to her. ]

[The armor stops moving for a moment, and her visor turns a little more upon being called a friend, one motion shy of meeting her eyes.

Then, the Spartan turns back to the plaza, and continues walking.]

Thank you, Ms. Ichinose.

[She spots the clothing store.]

What clothes did you have before waking up in here? They could be here as well.

[ Sorry, Daisy, but you didn't call her 'Kotomi-chan'.. Hence why she doesn't even seem to notice the woman asked her something. It isn't ignoring, she just downright filters out anything where she isn't called Kotomi-chan, apparently.

Instead she's just staring around her at the surroundings. ]

Miss Ichinose?

...

Ma'am?

...

[Assuming those two titles do not get a response, the Spartan turns to the smaller girl.]

Is something wrong?

[ No, there's still no response.. instead she seems to be studying one of the nearby trees. Apparently trees are pretty cool if you're Kotomi.

And completely oblivious to the fact someone is trying to call out for you. But her 'Kotomi-chan' filter is up as usual. ]

[Daisy removes her helmet to look at her.]

Kotomi?

...

[Daisy raises a hand to touch her shoulder again, but stops for two reasons: She remembers Kotomi asked her to call her "Kotomi-chan", and Kotomi did not like being touched by cold metal.]

Kotomi-chan.

[ Now she notices the woman, a small smile appearing on her face as she turns to her. ]

Good day. [ It's not like they just met up right now, but Kotomi is just weird with randomly saying that.. ]

Is something wrong?

[A lot of things when it deals this place and the people it pulls.]

I think you spaced out, ma'am. [Misinterpreting the "Kotomi-chan" filter. Though the Spartan did notice that it was only after mentioning the "chan" when the girl listened.

... She stares at the trees Kotomi stared at, but finds nothing.]

The clothes you had before coming here should be there. [She points at the clothing store.] You can get clothes for free as well.

[Especially winter clothing. Daisy had a hard time getting those for girls six feet and nine inches tall.]

Spaced out..? [ Yes, she's completely clueless to what just happened. But apparently she's just shrugging it off now. ]

Thank you very much. I'll make sure to take a good look inside..

[ ... pause.. ]

... I don't have any money though.

... You won't need it. This place works on the resources supplied, and favors from the community.

[... It still baffles her. How a world with vast powers can strive without money. Especically with how a MJOLNIR suit of armor costs as much as a frigate.]

[And Litchi, if Kotomi ever has the wish to cosplay.]

That's amazing.. A whole village working without a common form of economy. [ She seems rather amazed by the idea too, actually. ]

Everyone must be really kind here, to be willing to help others out like that.

[There is a brief pause, before she turns back to the store.]

We have a mostly good group. We're all in the same trouble. We have enough with the Malnosso as it is. [And yet there are others that care little for those problems.]

We've all been newcomers. It's only fair to help, ma'am.

[Daisy nods to Kotomi to the clothing store. It's new feather season. She can only hope there won't be as many people seeking for their clothes.]
