002 ♫ voice

Good day, everyone.

[ Kotomi's voice is.. practically the same as usual, aka very monotone and blank, no matter what she's speaking about. At least she's apparently social enough today to actually use the journal to make a post.. ]

I have two important questions to everyone. I couldn't find the answers in books, so I thought maybe someone else would be able to tell me instead.. I tried to look all over for books about it, but couldn't find anything. [ There's maybe the sliightest hint of disappointment in her tone at it. ]

The first would be any more information about "tsundere".. I heard it means someone acts tough and doesn't think they need anything more, but.. any more information would be nice, too.

[ This is clearly important. ]

And secondly, what kind of stories does everyone like..? [ totally not asking in relation to a certain someone, nope. ] I wonder if there's some sort of story that could be fun for everyone, no matter who reads it. Doesn't that sound like it'd be wonderful?

[ After that there's just.. a long pause.. apparently she forgot to turn off her journal after she was done in her obliviousness. ]

Those are alright, but I like stories about samurai and oni. Y'know, from Japan.

Yea, thats why I like samurai stories. And mysteries too, but I'm a police officer so that probably explains why I like them.

I don't know about oni stories being scary. Remember Red-Oni and Blue-Oni? That was a funny story.

(OOC: Red-Oni/Blue-Oni is a really famous children's story about a pair of good demons who like to play with children. Seriously, its weird...)

Come to get you? What did you do? [Confused Zenigata is confused?]

I guess oni can be scary. But not when a samurai or a miko drives them off, right?

You know, kid. I'm here to look after everyone I can. And as soon as I can figure a way outta here, I'll get you out and arrest those jerks. Lock em up for life, yea?

What's your name, little lady?

Its what any police officer would want to do, yea? And me, I'm the best there is.

[She may or may not here a more self-assured chuckle]

You don't have kanji for your name, Kotomi-chan? I'm Inspector Zenigata Koichi, from Interpol.

It is a very sweet name, Kotomi. Actually, I've got a daughter who's name isn't in kanji either. Toshiko, but she's a bit older than you.

And yea, I work with Interpol, in the International Crimes Division. How about you, kiddo? Where do you go to school?

[He doesn't mention the divorce, or all the other dramatic events his ex-wife cooked up]

Well thats good. Most American's don't have a clue about Japanese. Though there are a few. What do you wanna study in America, kid?

I'm sure they would. Having a child follow in your footsteps is a parents dream. What did your parents work on?

It sounds like it. Maybe if you keep working on it, we can find a way outta here, yea? Since this is a parallel world and all!

[He's trying to be encouraging...and probably just sounds gruff]

WHAHAHAHA. I'm only joking, Kotomi-chan. If you think too hard, you'll just get tired and burned out. Your brain will be just fine!

[This is Pops. Sometimes, he's a jerk! But he's not going to be MEAN to a kid]
